Movement drives health, but not all movement is created equal. Inefficient movement can put negative stress on the body. For some, that stress can lead to pain, a lack of mobility and stability, and a diminished desire to exercise.

Whether it's improving core function or boosting balance, functional movement therapy is a powerful tool to improve movement efficiency and stay pain and injury free.

Working Together

 With this therapeutic care, we’ll work on the steps below so you can move WELL in to your future.

1. Mobility Screening & Manual Assessment

I’ll start by having you perform a set of easy to do movement patterns that will identify the quality of proper movement ability (mobility, stability, motor control, balance, etc.). This will indicate where a lack of mobility may be causing instability and/or pain, or vice versa.

Along with the movement screen I’ll get a detailed health history and activity background so we can proceed with a safe and effective program.

2. Mobility & Manual Therapy

Personalized programming that addresses the quality of functional movement patterns identified in your initial screening. Each program is tailored to you and built on the concept of “functional training” and “manual therapy” which provides the greatest protection from injury during movement. We’ll address mobility and movement in a gentle and natural way in order to maximize your daily physical capabilities.

My goal is to help you get back to baseline in movement health to get you out of pain and stay out of pain

3. Movement Homework

Nobody likes homework, I know! However, to elicit a lasting change in your kinetic chain and functional movement system, easy to do movements that only take a few minutes a day will be assigned.

I’ll provide movements, stretching and exercises that you’ll do on your own. This is a vital part of the program in order to effectively retrain your neuromuscular system with repetition and consistency.

Session Costs

 

 $150 / 90 minute session

Follow-up sessions needing less time will be $100 for 60 minutes.
