Additional Therapy Support
Pre-Event
Awaken the muscular system and relax the nervous system to reduce the feelings of pre-competition anxiety. Sessions are specifically designed around invigorating techniques that awaken and ready the muscle fibers to enhance your performance potential, reducing event injuries and increasing circulation and range of motion. Pre-event massage is best received within 2-3 hours of an event for optimal results.
Post-Event
As an essential part of an athlete’s recovery protocol, post event massage assists the body to quickly and naturally return to homeostasis – your body’s naturally ability to self-regulate a stable internal environment.
Gentle techniques are used to increase blood flow and circulation to hasten the elimination of metabolic waste and drive nutrients back into the muscle tissue, enabling a prompt return to activity and training.
Cupping Therapy
Have you ever seen those unsightly red circular bruises on Olympic athletes? Those athletes have been cupped. The suction and negative pressure of cupping loosens muscle fibers and connective tissue, or fascia, encouraging blood flow to the muscle and homeopathic sedation of the nervous system. Therapeutic cupping is used to relieve back and neck pain, stiff muscles, and anxiety.
